Playboy, stripping, etc. feminist or not?
I've heard girls that posed for playboy say that it is empowering to women. I didn't understand why. Is it because they are taking control and flaunting society's rules about women covering up and being modest? Or is it just really degrading to pose so a bunch of pervy guys can look at you naked? It would kill me on the inside to strip or pose , and I would find it degrading. I don't want a bunch of perverts looking at me like that. But maybe it's different for other women? I was wondering what other feminists think about this? I do want to say that I don't think women should have to cover up, and I think it's dumb that it's illegal for women to go topless, yet it's perfectly fine for men, but when women walk around in bikinis or skirts or whatever, it's not a ual thing. Some men may view it as ual, but that's their problem. However, playboy and stripping is purposefully ual.
