Stem Cell Research? 20,000 more to Iraq?

Stem cells from embryonic fluid don't require an abortion, and are not embryonic stem cells as such. It is not illegal to do research on embryonic stem cells. The veto would be on Federal funding for such research. To date there has been *NO* positive results from any such research. There *HAS* been positive results from adult stem cell research. And, in fact, adult stem cells have already been used in successful cures and treatments. I see no reason to spend Federal dollars on such a dead end project as embryonic stem cells. If it is such a good idea let the private sector fund the research.
