Is dating outside your religion wrong?

the Bible says "do not be unequally yoked". If you read the old testament, God told the Israelites to not marry those of different nations because they worship false gods. There are different sects of Muslims, some worship the Father but not the son. ( no man comes to the father but thru the son) some worship false gods
