Golf question please help?

This is a happy gilmore scenario; I can smack the golf ball really hard due to my experience in bat and ball sports, and it really goes far but i find it very hard to do all the technical shots is there a chance i can be a golfer. When i mean I can hit the ball I really mean it, I send it miles out
